About the film

KITSUNE is a five-minute film by Henry Daubrez. In his Vimeo description he calls it a love story between two souls separated by everything except a shared loneliness, and names Don Bluth, early-90s anime and Studio Ghibli as influences. He writes that every shot was generated with Google's text-to-video model Veo 2, with MMAudio for sound effects, Udio for the music in this version, and some stock sound libraries. He picked more than 1,700 sequences out of an estimated 5,000 to 7,000 generations, and the script was rewritten several times, with changes of direction along the way. He says he's proud of it as a film and admits it isn't perfect.

Who it's for:People drawn to the nostalgic, hand-drawn feel of Ghibli and 90s anime, and anyone curious how much selecting goes into an AI film.
