About the film
Written and directed by Chad Nelson, Critterz begins like a nature documentary in an unexplored forest before its narrator is interrupted by the creatures under observation. The official site presents the film as a comedy and documents its mixed AI-and-animation workflow.
How AI was used
The official production page says DALL-E generated every background and character, while human animators and designers converted the 2-D material into a 3-D world; the contribution is recorded as AI Hybrid.
