What it is
webapp-testing is a Skill in Anthropic's official skills repository that uses Playwright for Python to drive a browser and test web apps running on your own computer. It can check interface behavior, take screenshots and read the browser console. It follows one of three paths: for static HTML, it reads the file directly to find elements; for a dynamic app whose server isn't running, it uses the bundled with_server.py script to start and stop the server; and for a server that is already running, it inspects the page structure first and then acts. On dynamic pages it waits until network activity settles so the page's JavaScript has finished running.
Who it's for:developers building websites or web apps who want AI help with testing. If you don't write code, it won't be useful to you.
Before you start: written for Claude. It needs Python and Playwright. Licensed under Apache 2.0.
Based on the project's public documentation. Not tested by AI Inspiration World.
