What it is
Cookiy User Research Skill is an open-source user research Skill from the company Cookiy AI, with one entry point and three routes. The first plans research: it writes a research plan, a screening questionnaire and an interview guide. The second synthesizes: it turns the interview transcripts you provide into a report with a codebook, personas and prioritized findings. The third connects to Cookiy's own cloud platform, where AI moderates interviews, runs surveys and recruits real or synthetic participants. Type /user-research-cookiy or just describe your research goal, and it starts on its own. What sets it apart is that the first two routes use only your own material, so you can finish a research plan and a synthesis report without a Cookiy account.
Who it's for:designers, product teams and user researchers.
Before you start: install it from the plugin marketplace in Claude's desktop app or Claude Code; other agents use npx cookiy-ai. We recommend only research planning and transcript synthesis. We don't recommend connecting to the Cookiy cloud platform: it signs in to your account and uploads research material and interview content to Cookiy's servers, recruiting and synthetic interviews are paid, and its billing notes say it automatically charges your saved card when your balance runs low. Answers from synthetic participants are not interviews with real users. Transcripts are processed by the AI you use, so remove participants' identifying details first. MIT license.
