What it is
unslop is an interface redesign Skill for Claude Code and Codex by designer Damir Sokolovsky (GitHub: heydamir). The author says it turns vibecoded, AI-looking UI into a design with its own character. It starts by finding gradients, glows, emoji tags, shouty copy and uneven spacing, settles on a design direction for the product, and then works through nine passes: spacing, color, icons, copy, type, layout, details, visuals and motion. You can point it at a dashboard, an app, a landing page or just a URL. The Skill tells the AI to present its audit and direction first and edit code only after you confirm, which sets it apart from one-click "make it pretty" tools. It can also capture before-and-after snapshots and turn them into a short video you can share.
Who it's for:People building sites with Claude Code or Codex who want an interface that looks less like a template. You need to install a Skill from the terminal and be able to follow the code changes the AI makes.
Before you start: Clone the repo and copy it into ~/.claude/skills/ (or ~/.agents/skills/ for Codex), as the README shows, then type /unslop in Claude Code or $unslop in Codex. The copy step writes into a folder named unslop, so another Skill with the same name can be overwritten or mixed in; check first. Page snapshots and the video need Playwright and Chromium, and the video also needs FFmpeg. The AI reads your project files and screenshots. If you connect an image service (the author lists fal, Replicate, OpenAI images and Higgsfield), screenshots and reference images are sent to that service and billed by it. The author asks the AI to show the prompt and ask before every paid image generation. The documentation is in English only. The Skill is free to download under CC BY 4.0, which allows commercial use; credit the author and link back to the repo when you reuse it.
