Understand Anything

Understand Anything is a plugin published by the Egonex-AI organization on GitHub. When you run /understand, it parses your code with tree-sitter and then has a team of agents (scanner, file analyzer, architecture analyzer, tour builder, graph reviewer and others) use a language model to map files, functions, classes and dependencies into a knowledge graph saved in the project's .ua folder. /understand-dashboard opens a web dashboard where you can pan, zoom, search and filter. Other commands let you ask questions about the code, check the impact of a change, get a deep explanation of one file, generate an onboarding guide for new teammates or extract business processes. The README says the interface supports English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean and several other languages.

Who it's for:developers taking over an unfamiliar codebase or preparing a code walkthrough for their team. Readers who don't write code won't need it.

Before you start: for Claude Code, the recommended install is the plugin marketplace (/plugin marketplace add Egonex-AI/Understand-Anything). Cursor and VS Code with Copilot can discover it automatically. Codex, Gemini CLI and other tools need an install script downloaded from the web (curl | bash, or a PowerShell script on Windows). You can optionally add a Git post-commit hook that updates the graph after each commit. The analysis calls a language model, so with a cloud model your code is sent to the model provider; the README offers local models such as Ollama as an alternative. MIT license.
