What it is
translate-book is a Skill by Rainman (deusyu) for Codex, Claude Code and OpenClaw. Give it a book's file path and a target language, and it splits the book into chunks that several subagents translate at the same time. The author says it checks fingerprints of the source text, then merges and exports the translation. The process can pick up where it left off, so a long book that stops halfway doesn't need to start over.
Who it's for:Readers who need a whole book translated, ideally comfortable with the command line.
Before you start: Install with the skills CLI or clone the repo into your host's Skill folder. Document conversion needs Python and pypandoc, and PDFs use a parser chosen per file. Conversion can run locally. The translation itself is done by your host's model and billed there. Only translate material you have the right to process. Docs are mainly in English. License: MIT.
