What it is
threejs-skills is a set of Claude Code Skills from CloudAI-X about three.js, the library for 3D on the web. The author points out that what Claude Code learned about three.js mixes many old releases, and a lot of APIs were renamed or removed between r160 and r186. These Skills target r186 and cover scenes, geometry, materials, lighting, textures, animation, shaders, post-processing, performance and React Three Fiber. Claude Code loads whichever one matches your request. What stands out: the author says every example was checked against the published packages, so import paths and class names exist.
Highlights:
- 13 Skills, each with a runnable starter example
- every Skill has a WebGPU and TSL section
- a Common Mistakes section pairs outdated code with the r186 fix.
How to use:
- First run npx skills add cloudai-x/threejs-skills
- or clone the repo and copy the skills folder into ~/.claude/skills/
- then just ask Claude Code for a 3D scene and it picks them up.
Who it's for:
Frontend developers using Claude Code to build three.js or React Three Fiber pages.
