What it is
SwiftUI Pro is an Agent Skill open-sourced by Paul Hudson, who writes free Swift tutorials at Hacking with Swift. SwiftUI is Apple's framework for building interfaces on iPhone, Mac and its other platforms. The Skill targets the mistakes large language models actually make with SwiftUI; the README's examples include buttons that VoiceOver can't find, frequent use of deprecated API, and code that causes surprise performance problems. Its rules cover navigation, layout, animation, state management, VoiceOver accessibility and deprecated API, and you can have the AI review a whole project or only one area, such as accessibility or deprecated calls. What sets it apart is that it builds on the author's existing AGENTS.md rules and years of real projects, and he asks contributors to write only about edge cases models don't already know, so the Skill doesn't waste tokens.
Who it's for:Swift developers building iOS or Mac apps with an AI coding agent. Readers who don't code won't get much from it.
Before you start: install with npx skills add (Node required), or through the plugin marketplace in Claude Code. Call it with /swiftui-pro in Claude Code or $swiftui-pro in Codex. The README targets iOS 26 and later and Swift 6.4 and later, so check its advice against your own deployment target on older projects. The Skill reads your project's code and may suggest file-by-file changes, and that code is processed by your AI provider. The same author has similar Skills for SwiftData, Swift Concurrency and Swift Testing, listed in the README. The license is MIT.
Based on the project's public documentation. Not tested by AI Inspiration World.
