What it is
Scholar Forge is an academic writing Agent Skill by GitHub user hyl-ailab (the license credits Scholar Forge Contributors). One entry point routes you into seven modes: literature reviews, papers, theses, grant proposals, peer review, revisions after review, and working your own material into a draft. A bundled script checks that in-text citations and the BibTeX file match up. While writing, it searches the web for the target journal's author guidelines and related papers. It handles both Chinese and English writing.
Who it's for:Graduate students and researchers writing papers and grants or answering reviewers.
Before you start: Clone it with Git into the Skill folder for Cursor, Claude Code or GitHub Copilot. The README also lists Codex but gives no separate install command for it. The check scripts need Python, and LaTeX output needs LaTeX, pandoc or latexmk set up on your side. It reads the papers, data, notes and reviewer comments you give it and writes drafts plus tex and bib files on your machine; that material goes through whichever AI you use. The README is in Chinese and English. MIT license.
Based on the project's public documentation. Not tested by AI Inspiration World.
