Resumx resume-writing

The Resumx skills repo holds two Skills, and AI Inspiration World recommends only resume-writing. resume-writing is a set of resume rules: give it to an AI assistant and the AI follows those rules when it writes or edits your resume. The README calls the rules research-backed and says every rule traces back to a real study. The studies and figures it cites are the authors' claims, and we have not checked them one by one. You can use it as a Skill in Claude, Cursor or GitHub Copilot, or paste the rules into ChatGPT or Gemini.

Who it's for:People who already use AI chat tools to edit their resume and want to give the AI a clear set of writing rules.

Before you start: The README's install command is npx skills add resumx/skills, which runs an external skills command-line tool we have not reviewed. If you only want the writing rules, you can copy the resume-writing text straight into an AI chat tool. The rules are in English. Your resume goes to whichever AI tool you use. We did not find a specific rule against inventing experience, so check every line the AI writes. AI Inspiration World does not recommend the other Skill in the repo, resumx, which explains how to use the Resumx Markdown resume renderer. It asks for required_permissions: ["all"] on every render, which means asking Cursor to lift its sandbox limits to run the rendering command. It also suggests importing your old resume at resumx.dev/#import, which may upload the original file to that site; we have not checked the import site's privacy terms. In plain terms, the resumx Skill has your AI tool run an outside program with fewer limits and may send your old resume to someone else's website. The Skill itself is free; AI tool costs depend on your provider. MIT license.
