Qiushi Skill（求是）

Qiushi Skill (求是, "seek truth") is an open-source collection of method Skills by GitHub user HughYau. The README says it distills one overarching principle, "seek truth from facts," and nine methods from classical materialist dialectics and the philosophy of practice: contradiction analysis, the practice theory of knowledge, investigation and research, the mass line, criticism and self-criticism, protracted strategy, concentrating forces, the single spark, and overall planning. Each method's folder includes the original passages it quotes, and the README names the Selected Works of Mao Zedong among its sources. The problem the author wants to fix is that AI can think but doesn't know how to work a problem: it draws conclusions without investigating, misses the main point and doesn't check its own work. The README states that this is methodology, not political propaganda, and that it doesn't imitate any person's personality. What sets it apart is that it breaks a set of working methods familiar to Chinese readers into steps an AI can call up task by task.

Before you start: we recommend manual installation only: copy the method Skill folders you need into the Skill folder of Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another tool, and call them when needed. We don't recommend the default one-step install with npx qiushi-skill, which by default adds a hook that runs at every session start to insert the overarching principle into the AI's context, and overwrites the install folders it manages. If you do use it, add --no-hooks. The installer needs Node 18.17 or later. Content is processed by the AI you use, at its usual cost. MIT license.
