What it is
Many AI image tools claim to support transparent backgrounds, then return an ordinary image with a gray and white checkerboard painted in. Drop it into a design tool and the checkerboard is still there. native-transparent-imagegen is the Skill in the craft-skills collection built for this problem. The image must carry a real alpha channel from the moment it is generated. Before delivery, a script confirms the file contains fully transparent pixels, and you are asked to zoom in on the edges for halos, colored fog, stray shadows or clipped strands. It suits stickers, game sprites, character cutouts, product shots, and subjects with fur or fine lines. It only handles newly generated images; removing the background from an existing photo is outside its scope.
Who it's for:creators and designers making stickers, emoji, game characters and product images.
Before you start: you need an image tool that can output transparency directly, and the project does not name one. The checks require Python. Original content is licensed under Apache 2.0.
