What it is
Medical Illustration is a medical drawing Skill by wilbert (GitHub: wilbert-MD-PhD), made, in the author's words, for AI agents such as Codex and Claude Code. It covers three kinds of work: health explainer comics, teaching anatomy figures and research diagrams. The workflow gathers reliable references first, then storyboards, generates images, sets editable text and keeps a review record. Every figure starts from a reference, and each step leaves a record you can check. The author states it is not a clinical diagnosis or psychotherapy product. On macOS it can hand layout to Illustrator automatically; other systems use an SVG vector route.
Who it's for:Doctors, teachers and science communicators who make health explainers, teaching material or figures for papers.
Before you start: Follow INSTALL.md in the repo to pick the setup for your agent; the author asks you to keep any local changes, and the bundled update script backs up before replacing the install folder. Reference images may go to an image service, and the author reminds you to remove anything that identifies a patient first. You supply your own image tools, fonts and commercial software, and costs aren't stated. Docs are in Chinese and English. Licensing is mixed: the core Skill, scripts and templates are MIT; original docs and comics the author can license are CC BY 4.0; third-party atlases, textbooks and models keep their own licenses. The author marks some examples as pending medical review, so treat the examples as teaching material and not as medical conclusions.
