What it is
match-cut is an Agent Skill published by GitHub user Sac-Y for making product promo videos, 20 seconds by default, with the length adjustable. You give it your own product information and images you have the rights to use. It first confirms the plan, models and budget with you, then generates a video that passes from shot to shot with match cuts, and delivers a 1080p MP4, a ProRes master and separate stems. The process covers keyframes, video, music, voiceover, foley and local post-production. You can either approve at each step or give one approval for the whole run. The documentation says it works in Claude Code and Codex, and the MCP notes also list other hosts such as Claude Desktop.
Who it's for:Founders and designers who want a short promo for their own product and don't mind setting up a developer environment. It will be hard going if you never touch the command line.
Before you start: Installation needs Node 22.20 or newer, and post-production uses Python 3.11 and ffmpeg, about 500MB of dependencies. The Skill sets up a virtual environment, installs dependencies, writes project files and runs post-production scripts on its own. It asks you first if ffmpeg is missing. Uploading assets, generating and delivery all go through Renoise, which needs a browser sign-in. Your product images and information are sent to Renoise, and AI Inspiration World hasn't checked how Renoise stores or deletes them. Video, music and voiceover use Renoise credits with no fixed total price: each job is quoted and only starts after you approve the budget. In the single-approval mode it keeps spending credits within the approved budget without asking again, so AI Inspiration World doesn't recommend that mode and suggests approving at each step. Only use product images you have the rights to. The Skill is MIT licensed. The README comes in Chinese and English, and promo copy defaults to English.
Based on the project's public documentation. Not tested by AI Inspiration World.
