What it is
This is an open-source set of code review skills by Chris Mason (GitHub: masoncl) for five projects: the Linux kernel, systemd, iproute, nfs-utils and pahole. Each project gets three things: a skill file that loads background knowledge automatically when you work inside that project's source tree; review, debug and verify slash commands, such as /kreview, /kdebug and /kverify for the kernel; and subsystem knowledge files that are read on demand. The author says it works with Claude Code and other AI tools, and the setup script supports several agents.
Who it's for:Maintainers and developers who write or review patches for the Linux kernel or these system projects. If you don't write code, you won't need it.
Before you start: The documentation is in English. The setup.sh script writes the skills and slash commands into your AI tool's configuration folders, such as ~/.claude/skills and ~/.claude/commands, and overwrites files with the same names, so back them up first. Code, patches and error output go to the AI service you choose. The skills may suggest commands that change code; we don't recommend letting them run in CI or automated pipelines without review. The repo is under the MIT licence.
Based on the project's public documentation. Not tested by AI Inspiration World.
