What it is
Luobo PPT is an Agent Skill open-sourced by GitHub user zhouwei713, with the license credited to Zhou Luobo. It makes new decks and restyles existing ones. To start from scratch, give it a topic, an article, a voiceover script or an outline; it first writes a "ghost draft" of titles only for you to approve, with every slide title stated as a conclusion and speaker notes on every slide, then lays out and renders the deck. To restyle, give it a plain .pptx and a reference image, and it moves the original text into a consistent palette, layout, icon set and illustrations. The README says it checks the original text page by page afterward and reports an error, naming the page and the line, if anything is missing. The output is a native .pptx: tables are real tables, charts can be edited with a double click, and there are layouts such as timelines, funnels, SWOT and Porter's Five Forces, plus 14 preset styles. The README says scripts handle the deterministic work while the agent handles understanding the content and making design calls. What sets it apart is that it turns the usual problems with AI-made decks into script checks, so missing text, overflow, inconsistent font sizes and poor contrast are caught before delivery; equations typed in an equation editor are converted to plain-text equations so they don't go blank in other software.
Who it's for:people who often make work reports, course slides or talk decks and want AI to handle the layout while keeping slides they can edit themselves.
Before you start: it works with Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor and other tools that read SKILL.md, and the README says you can also zip the repo and upload it in the Claude app's skill settings. You need Python 3.8 or later and a Chinese font; on first use the Skill checks your setup and installs missing Python packages on its own. LibreOffice gives more accurate previews, and without it you get an approximate preview. It works without an image model, drawing illustrations in code; if you connect an image API such as OpenAI, Gemini or Volcano Ark, your material is sent to that service under its pricing and terms. The license is MIT, and the icons keep Lucide's ISC license.
