What it is
latex-document-skill was published by GitHub user ndpvt-web, and the project notes that it was built with Claude Code on the HappyCapy platform. LaTeX is the typesetting system academics use for clean formulas and careful layout, but it takes time to learn. This Skill has the agent write the LaTeX for you and compile it to PDF. It ships 27 templates, including papers and theses, lecture notes, homework, lab reports, an academic CV, six resume styles, business letters, invoices, exams, cheat sheets, Beamer slides, academic posters and a full book. It can also convert scans and handwritten notes into LaTeX, draw nine chart types with matplotlib, turn CSV files into tables, fetch references by DOI or arXiv ID, run mail merges, and merge, encrypt or compress PDFs.
Who it's for:students, teachers and researchers writing papers, notes and reports, and anyone who wants a well-typeset resume without learning LaTeX.
Before you start: you need a full TeX Live installation plus tools such as Poppler, ImageMagick, Pandoc and Python 3. The project includes a one-step setup script. It is written mainly for Claude Code. Licensed under MIT.
