What it is
skills is a set of Agent Skills put together by design engineer Jakub Krehel (GitHub jakubkrehel). The README says they cover the topics he writes about on his personal site and in his design engineering magazine, Interfaces. Once installed, your AI coding agent follows these rules to review or rework an interface across accessibility, layout, copy, typography, color and UI polish. What sets it apart is better-interface, one entry point that checks all of these at once and hands back a single ranked report.
Highlights:
- better-accessibility checks keyboard focus, ARIA, forms and screen-reader announcements against WCAG 2.2
- better-colors generates palettes, names semantic tokens and measures contrast
- interface-review looks only at interface problems a branch or PR introduced
- build-design builds UI from a Figma file or design image using the project's existing components.
How to use:
- First run npx skills add jakubkrehel/skills.
- In Claude Code, run /plugin marketplace add jakubkrehel/skills and then /plugin install interfaces@interfaces.
- Then ask the agent to review a screen, or call one Skill directly.
Who it's for:
Frontend developers and design engineers who want AI-written screens to look better and work better.
Before you start:
- You need an AI coding tool that supports Agent Skills, and Node.js for the npx route.
- explain-interface can read a live URL or a screenshot.
- Costs for the AI service you use are separate.
- The docs are in English.
- MIT license.
