What it is
herk-edit-kit is Nate Herk's (nateherkai) editing kit, built on HyperFrames; the author says it was formerly the HyperFrames Student Kit. Point it at an audio or video file and use Skills like edit-video or short-form-edit to cut silences, fix flubs, tighten the narrative order, and finally check that picture and sound are really ready to ship. The author includes a pre-built starter project you can preview locally first. It supports Codex and Claude Code.
Who it's for:Creators who record themselves talking and want AI help with rough cuts for long and short videos.
Before you start: Clone the repo and set up the HyperFrames toolchain per the README. The local starter needs no paid APIs. Optional ElevenLabs Scribe transcription and Kie.ai generation use your own keys and credits and send your audio and assets to those services. License: MIT, but the AIS brand assets in the repo are not licensed for reuse, so swap in your own brand. Docs are mainly in English.
Based on the project's public documentation. Not tested by AI Inspiration World.
