What it is
hand-drawn-styles is a Skill by GitHub user threerocks, made for AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex and Cursor to read. It holds 21 hand-drawn style recipes: tell it what you want to draw, pick a style, and it produces matching image prompts, or a ready-made package for an image tool, which you then take to gpt-image, Jimeng, Midjourney or similar. The README says plainly that by default it only writes prompts and doesn't generate images. The prompts are assembled on your own computer by a small Python script that comes with the repository. It already has more than two thousand stars on GitHub.
Who it's for:Designers and content creators who use AI image tools a lot and want to land one hand-drawn look consistently.
Before you start: You need an AI tool that can read Skills, plus Python 3.10 or later on your computer (no third-party libraries); install it by downloading the author's ZIP release or copying the repository into your Skills folder. The license is MIT. Actually generating images happens in your own image tool, which may go online, upload reference images and cost extra. Some recipes draw on well-known looks such as Studio Ghibli and xkcd; the MIT license only covers the author's own text and code, and doesn't make those styles, characters or the resulting images free for commercial use. The documentation is mainly in Chinese, with prompts in Chinese and English.
