fortune Liuyao is a Skill published by GitHub user shubhaviatiningsih-byte that lets an AI assistant perform Liuyao divination, a traditional Chinese method of casting coins to form a hexagram and reading from it how a matter may unfold. You give it a question and the time frame you're asking about, then either enter the results of six coin tosses yourself or let the program cast for you; the casting and chart layout are done by a local program, and the README says it's the large language model that ties these clues together into a single judgment. What sets it apart is the division of labour and the self-check: the program does the chart calculations, the AI only does the reading, and the reading is then checked against the facts of the chart. Before you start: You need a desktop AI assistant that supports Skills and Python 3.10 or later; the calendar library it needs is bundled in the repository, so there's nothing extra to install. It runs scripts on your computer and writes result files such as JSON, HTML and Markdown. It doesn't ask for your birth date or birth time, only the time and time zone of the casting; your question is processed by whichever AI service you use, so be mindful of privacy if it touches on money or relationships. An optional share image is generated by your AI assistant's image feature, which also sends out the question and chart, so think before sharing. The Skill itself is free under the Apache-2.0 license, and AI service costs are separate. Readings are traditional interpretation, not a guarantee of real-world outcomes, and the safety boundaries are rules written for the model, which won't necessarily follow them every time.
