What it is
Education Agent Skills Library is a library of teaching Skills written by Gareth Manning, who describes them as practical instructions that help AI agents support lesson planning, assessment, curriculum design and learning. It holds 165 Skills across 20 areas, covering lesson planning, classroom assessment, curriculum design and study strategies for students. You can use it without installing anything: open the file you need, copy the prompt into your AI and fill in your class and task details. It supports Claude (including Cowork), Claude Code, Codex and Hermes, and other tools that read Agent Skills can use it by hand.
Who it's for:Teachers who want AI help with lesson planning, assessments and course design.
Before you start: In Claude Code, install with /plugin install education-agent-skills --marketplace GarethManning/education-agent-skills. A manual copy into an existing Skills folder can merge folders with the same name. Some Skills ask for details about your students, and that information goes to the AI you use, so it's best to remove anything that identifies a student first. The old public MCP service has been retired, so MCP use means hosting your own. The documentation is in English only. The content is CC BY-SA 4.0: credit the author, and share any adaptations under the same license.
