What it is
drawio-skill is an agent skill published by the GitHub user Agents365-ai. You can describe a diagram in plain language or Mermaid, or point it at a codebase (Python, JS/TS, Go, Rust), Terraform, Kubernetes, docker-compose, a database schema, an OpenAPI spec or a CI pipeline, and it produces a .drawio architecture diagram you can keep editing in draw.io. The README says it can also start from a whiteboard photo or screenshot, and export to PNG, SVG, PDF, interactive HTML, PowerPoint and more. It works with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Copilot and other tools that support the Agent Skills format, and offers an optional MCP server.
Who it's for:developers and technical writers who draw system architecture and want diagrams that keep up with the code and config. Readers who don't write code will find limited use for it.
Before you start: install the draw.io desktop app first (version 30 or later is recommended), then install the skill globally with `npx skills add Agents365-ai/drawio-skill -g`; Graphviz is optional. It reads the code and config files you point it at and writes diagram files on your machine. Some AI brand icons load from the web by default, and the --embed flag keeps everything offline.
