What it is
.NET Skills is a collection on GitHub that the README describes as "the .NET team's curated set of portable skills and host-specific custom agents for coding agents." It's split into 16 plugin categories, covering things like C# scripts, P/Invoke, NuGet trusted publishing and authoring GitHub workflows. You pick the plugins you need and install them in Copilot, Claude Code or Codex. What sets it apart is that the .NET team maintains it themselves.
Who it's for:Developers building in C# and .NET who use AI to help write code. Readers who don't write code won't get much use from it.
Before you start: Support varies by component. Copilot's .agent.md custom agents are not native Codex agents, and whether MCP and LSP work depends on your tool. Building and testing runs project code, so use it only on projects you're authorised to work on. The docs are in English. The code is free under the MIT license; your model may cost extra.
Based on the project's public documentation. Not tested by AI Inspiration World.
