What it is
Design System Ops is a set of Claude Code Skills by Murphy Trueman, who says it handles the work that keeps a design system alive. It has 36 Skills and 4 chained workflows covering token and component audits, governance, documentation, accessibility and release communication. You can ask "How healthy is my design system?" or run a command such as /design-system-ops:release-check Dialog to see whether a component is ready to ship. Everyday design system upkeep becomes fixed routines for audits, governance, docs and releases. It can also write an AGENTS.md so tools such as Cursor and Copilot read the same rules.
Who it's for:Designers and front-end engineers who look after a design system. Readers who don't write code won't get much from it.
Before you start: Install with git clone https://github.com/murphytrueman/design-system-ops.git ~/.claude/skills/design-system-ops; it supports Claude Code and Cowork. You can optionally connect the Figma MCP, which lets it read and write back component descriptions, variables and tokens in Figma. Your project files go to the AI you use, and the Skills may add files such as AGENTS.md, token rules or codemods to your project. The documentation is in English only. The code is MIT; Claude, Figma and other services are billed by their providers.
