What it is
data-visualization comes from OpenAI's official plugins repository and is part of the web data visualization plugin for Codex. It acts as a router: it first decides which analytical question the work has to answer and which chart family fits, then hands implementation to a specialist skill such as D3, Canvas, WebGL, maps or dashboards. Its scope includes chart selection, critique, dashboards, maps, Gantt timelines, UML diagrams, scrollytelling and exports. Its principle is that the best visualization is the simplest truthful view that answers the question with the least decoding effort. Key values stay visible without hovering, motion and decoration must carry meaning, and mobile portrait counts as much as a large screen. It reaches for declarative chart libraries first, then D3, and only then Canvas or WebGL.
Who it's for:developers and designers building data reports, dashboards and data journalism.
Before you start: written for Codex. Implementation needs a web development environment. Check the repository for license terms.
