What it is
Claude Obsidian is a set of skills by Agrici Daniel (AI Marketing Hub). The README calls it "your AI second brain for Obsidian." It has 15 skills and 3 agents covering auto-research, saving, thinking, ingesting sources and checking notes. You hand material to Claude, and it writes local Markdown notes with sources cited and links between related notes. No Obsidian plugin is required; Obsidian is just where you open and browse the notes. What sets it apart is that every note carries its source, so you can trace a point back to where it came from.
Who it's for:Obsidian users who want AI help organising what they read and research.
Before you start: You need Python 3.11 or later and Bash, on macOS or Linux. On Windows, writing notes goes through WSL; native Windows is read-only or dry-run. It reads, links and writes your local vault. The author says your material goes nowhere except the AI tool you're talking to, but whatever you give Claude still passes through its model service. Back up your vault first, test with notes that aren't sensitive, and review proposed changes before you approve the writes. The code is free under the MIT license; your model may cost extra.
Based on the project's public documentation. Not tested by AI Inspiration World.
