What it is
chatgpt-app-submission is also part of the openai-developers plugin for Codex. Submitting a ChatGPT App for review means filling in app details, tool annotations and test cases. This Skill reads the MCP server's source, package metadata and README files and produces a chatgpt-app-submission.json. It reads each tool's actual implementation to check whether its read-only, open-world and destructive hints are accurate. Review requires all three hints to be set explicitly, and a missing one blocks submission. It also writes five positive and three negative test cases and flags issues such as requests for sensitive data, weak CSP domains and missing output schemas. If a hint doesn't match the code, it asks the developer before changing anything.
Who it's for:developers preparing a ChatGPT App for submission. If you don't write code, it won't be useful to you.
Before you start: written for Codex. It needs the app's source code. Check the repository for license terms.
