What it is
bazi-flex-mcp is a Bazi (Four Pillars) chart MCP server by GitHub user ronload. MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is how AI assistants call outside tools. Once it's installed, the assistant in an MCP client such as Claude Desktop can call it to build a Four Pillars chart. The program does the charting on your own computer, with true solar time correction, and the AI only explains the result. Unlike most Bazi MCP servers, it handles an unknown birth hour. The author notes that most people don't know when they were born and that existing servers mostly require a full birth time; this one can still build three pillars from the date alone, so the AI can keep going. The author says the project is in early development and isn't on npm yet.
Who it's for:People who can set up MCP and want their AI assistant to discuss Bazi from a real chart. Not useful if you don't write code.
Before you start: You need Bun 1.1 or later. Download the repo to your computer and point Claude Desktop's MCP settings at it. Run locally, the charting doesn't go online, but your birth details and questions are processed by the AI service you use. The repo also supports remote HTTP deployment, and the author says that mode has no login protection yet, so AI Inspiration World does not recommend deploying it that way and only recommends running it on your own computer. The project itself is free; AI service costs are yours. MIT license. AI Inspiration World does not recommend using it for health, medical, or investment decisions.
Based on the project's public documentation. Not tested by AI Inspiration World.
