What it is
Archify is an open-source diagram skill from GitHub user tt-a1i, and its README puts it simply: "Describe it to your AI agent, and Archify turns it into an interactive HTML." Describe a system, a process or a plan in plain words, your AI assistant structures it, and Archify builds a standalone HTML page in one of five types: architecture, workflow, sequence, data flow or lifecycle, plus before-and-after comparisons of an architecture. The page has light and dark themes, zoom, node focus that traces what flows in and out, a presentation mode and PNG export, and the interactions travel with the file when you share it. What sets it apart is that it isn't limited to software: the main skill explicitly takes everyday material such as trip and leave plans, study maps and application processes, and the README shows a community member turning a Shanghai CityWalk guide into a four-day itinerary. Before delivering, it opens the page in a temporary headless browser to check the layout across screen widths and both themes; it works with Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor, OpenCode and other assistants.
Who it's for:Anyone who wants a tangled process, a study topic or a travel plan drawn as one clear picture, and developers or product managers explaining a system to their team.
Before you start: Install with npx skills add tt-a1i/archify -g. You need an AI assistant that can run Node, and the delivery check uses a Chrome or Chromium already on your computer. It writes several local files into your working folder, including the diagram page and check records, and the page can carry the text and file paths you gave it, so look it over before sharing. By default it checks for a new version about once every 24 hours by fetching a fixed version list, sends no project content and never updates itself; set ARCHIFY_UPDATE_CHECK_DISABLED=1 to turn that off. If your diagram names an unfamiliar brand's website, it fetches that site's icon. It checks structure and layout, so whether the content is correct is up to you. Licensed under MIT; the main skill credits Cocoon AI's architecture-diagram-generator as its starting point.
