What it is
anything2explainer is a Claude Code and Codex Skill by Vincent Wei (Vincentwei1021). Give it a topic, choose Chinese or English and a target length, and it plans the voiceover script and storyboard, draws motion graphics in code with Remotion, renders the video, then runs a quantitative quality check. The result is an explainer on a black canvas with TTS narration, subtitles and a chapter progress bar. All visuals are drawn in code, with no image model involved. The author has only run it on Claude Code and Codex.
Who it's for:Individual creators making explainer videos who don't plan to use them commercially.
Before you start: Clone the repo and set up Python, Node 18+, Remotion and TTS. Chinese narration uses edge-tts, which goes through Microsoft's online speech service; English can use a local engine. The license is PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0, so it's free only for non-commercial use, and commercial use needs the author's permission first. The author says videos you make belong to you; bundled fonts are under SIL OFL 1.1.
