AnySearch Skill

AnySearch Skill is an open-source search Skill from the AnySearch team (GitHub organization anysearch-ai). Once installed, your AI agent can call its bundled command-line tool for general web search, vertical-domain search, several queries in parallel, and full-page text extraction. The tool comes in Python, Node, Bash and PowerShell versions, and the agent first checks which one runs on your computer. What sets it apart is that you can use it without signing up: anonymous calls get every search feature, just with lower rate limits and quota. All searches go through AnySearch's own server, api.anysearch.com.

Who it's for:people who want their AI to search the web and check where information comes from. You'll need to be able to put files in a Skill folder.

Before you start: download a pinned release and unzip it into your Skill folder; the Python version needs requests, and the Bash version needs curl and jq. Your search terms and the URLs you extract are sent to api.anysearch.com. We recommend anonymous use only. We don't recommend the README's automatic sign-up, which has the AI agent register an account with your real email address and write the key into a .env file. If you need more quota, sign up on the official site yourself, set up the key yourself, and don't hand the key to an AI in a chat.
