What it is
airtable-overview comes from OpenAI's official plugins repository and is part of the Airtable plugin for Codex. It doesn't perform any actions; it gives the AI a working picture of how Airtable organizes data. In its terms, a base is an Airtable database and the top-level container for related data. Tables work like spreadsheets or relational tables. Fields define typed columns, and records are individual entries with unique IDs. Views filter, sort and group without changing the underlying data. Automations run a series of actions when a trigger fires. Interfaces are app-like pages built on top of the data, and some people use a base only through its interfaces without ever opening the tables.
Who it's for:people new to Airtable, or anyone explaining to a team how Airtable structures its data.
