What it is
ai-film-skills (Open Film Skills) is a set of filmmaking Agent Skills by GitHub user 62656456; the README says they're standalone Skills for creators of AI films, short films and story-driven video. The repo has 21 original modules, 18 regular and 3 experimental. They cover story, directing, storyboards, character, set and prop assets, visual styles for a range of genres, and AI short drama and video production, plus modules for web design and data research. Each module installs on its own, with a guide in Chinese and one in English. The site lists the whole repo as one entry.
Who it's for:Creators making AI short films, short dramas and story videos.
Before you start: The author's method is to clone the repo and run scripts/install_skill.py, choosing codex, claude-code, trae or codebuddy with --platform or a folder with --target, one module at a time; npx skills also works. To actually generate images and video you need your own model access, and costs depend on that service. Apache-2.0 license; the repo's COMMERCIAL_USE note says the original content the author has the right to license can be used commercially, and third-party material isn't covered. An external xianxia visual module is only linked and isn't one of the 21.
Based on the project's public documentation. Not tested by AI Inspiration World.
