What it is
Agent-Reach by GitHub user Panniantong is a command-line tool and agent skill. The author's one-liner is "let AI agents reach the parts of the internet they can't get to on their own." It adds search and the ability to read web pages and social platforms to your agent; for content behind a login, it uses your Chrome login sessions. The author says it is read-only and does not post, comment, like or send messages. Because it works through your own logged-in sessions, it can read content behind login walls.
Who it's for:Developers who want their AI coding agent to look things up on social platforms and the web for them. It is of no use if you don't write code.
Before you start: Install it by following docs/install.md in the repo, not the similarly named package on PyPI. On first use it copies your Chrome site logins, usually your main accounts, into a dedicated background browser; that state is stored locally in ~/.agent-reach/, and what it reads is passed to your AI agent. We do not recommend using your login sessions to read content behind login walls, and platforms may have their own rules about it. The author says it does not read your password store; "read-only, no posting" is the author's statement and we have not verified it. The README carries sponsor ads for anti-bot and CAPTCHA services; those are the sponsors' products, not features of this project. Speech-to-text may need a Groq or OpenAI key, billed separately. This project may control your computer, phone or a large number of account permissions; we have not tested it and do not recommend it. The code is open source under the MIT license.
Based on the project's public documentation. Not tested by AI Inspiration World.
