About the film
The Old Landlord is an urban "system" drama on Hongguo, a Chinese short-drama platform, running to 5 seasons and 634 episodes. The official synopsis says 62-year-old Wu Nai is terminally ill with only fourteen days left. At his lowest point, a system binds itself to him: every time he surprises his three female tenants, he gets two more months to live. The story runs on that countdown, as an old landlord keeps buying himself time by doing the unexpected. What sets it apart is that Hongguo marks the first episode of Seasons 1 and 2 with "内容AI生成" (AI-generated content). For Seasons 3 to 5 we found no official AI label. The pages don't say who produced it or which AI tools were used.
Who it's for:viewers who like game-style "system" plots, comeback stories and offbeat premises.
Before you watch: start with Season 1. Hongguo's website shows only the first 3 episodes; watching in full means using the Hongguo app. We haven't checked whether every episode is free. The pages don't fully list the dialogue language, subtitles or episode length.
