What it is
Wicklight is a browser action game that CSAF (Core Systems Asset Factory) made for AI Browser Game Jam 4. It runs on one rule: a shade is safe in shadow and dies in light, and you are the light. The room's lighting is recomputed from where you stand every frame, so every pillar throws a wedge of darkness, and that wedge is a corridor the shades can walk straight up. You have to keep moving, because standing still is what gets you killed. Your wick burns down as you play, and the wax that refuels it is scattered in the dark you can't see. Hold the mouse button to draw the flame in, then release to send out a wall of light that burns whatever it reaches. The whole game is five files and about 51 KB, with no engine, no image files, and no recorded audio; all sound is synthesized live. The author says code, text, and cover art were built with heavy AI assistance and doesn't name a model.
Who it's for: Players who like a game built around one simple rule. The author says it takes about ninety seconds to learn.
Before you start: It runs in the browser with no install and no account. Mouse only, and the page doesn't say whether phones work. English only. The page says it's free; check the game page for current terms. The same page also promotes the studio's other games, including paid ones. We list only this one. No license is given for the game.
