What it is
Unearth is a small 3D digging game by k3alkos on itch.io, built in Godot and playable in the browser. The idea is simple: hold the mouse to chip away at a block of rock, turn the debris into coins, and spend them on more power, speed, bite size and coin value, plus drones that peel the rock from the outside. There are nine finds to dig out, each with a power on a cooldown, such as a wave that strips the surface, a rocket strike, a slash, and a beam fired by all your drones at once, and the blocks get bigger as you progress. In the release announcement on itch.io, the author says the code was written with AI, and the game page's AI disclosure lists AI assistance for code, graphics, sound and text, without naming a model. What sets it apart is how it turns the single act of digging into the whole game, with a full session lasting a few minutes.
Who it's for: players who enjoy clicker and incremental games where you slowly get stronger, and anyone curious what an AI-written game prototype looks like.
Before you start: free to play in the browser; the page lists it under free games and shows no price. On a computer, hold the left mouse button to dig, drag empty space or press A and D to turn the block, scroll or press W and S to zoom, and press 1 to 9 for powers. On phones and tablets, hold the device sideways and use touch controls. The author calls it an early prototype and asks for feedback, so expect rough edges. The game collects anonymous play statistics (which powers you use, how long each block takes), and the author says nothing identifies you. The page doesn't list supported languages, and we found no license for the code or assets.
