What it is
Thornreach is a medieval army RPG by Goblin Originals on the Goblin Arcade site, played in the browser. The old king is dead, three great houses circle the empty throne, and you start as a knight with six farmhands, a little silver, and a sword. You ride a hand-drawn map of towns, castles, villages, and mines, buy gear, recruit militia, spearmen, archers, and riders, and upgrade them. Battles are fought in real time on a separate field: you control your knight directly while ordering your troops to follow, hold, charge, or focus a target, and sieges add walls, a gate, and ladders. Between fights you pay wages, keep the army fed, collect income from fiefs, and win the oaths of the great houses, finishing a nine-chapter story in about an hour. For a full campaign in a web page, it saves often: after every battle, whenever you leave a location, and every in-game week. The game page marks it as AI-assisted. Goblin Arcade's press page says Goblin Originals games use AI-assisted coding and visual generation, with people directing, reviewing, testing, and deciding on releases. It doesn't name the models.
Who it's for: Strategy players who like leading armies but only have short stretches of time.
Before you start: It runs in the browser with no download and no account. On desktop you use the mouse and WASD; on a phone there's an on-screen joystick and buttons, and the page says battles work in portrait. A campaign takes about 45 to 90 minutes. Saves are kept on Goblin Arcade's server through an anonymous cookie; played outside the arcade, progress lasts only until the page closes. There's combat with swords, spears, and bows, and the page doesn't mention gore. English only. The site says it's free; check the game page for current terms. No open license is given.
