What it is
A carved pumpkin sits on a candlelit porch on an October night. You snap rubber bands onto it, one at a time, and find out how much it can take. The game is by the X user Vib3Coded, and its page calls it An experiment in poor judgement. Each band ticks up the Bands counter on screen. The author's published prompt describes it as a Halloween take on the watermelon rubber-band challenge. On X, the author says Claude Opus 5.5 and ChatGPT-6 Astra each built a version, and that the Opus one went all in, with colorful bands, flying seeds and chunks everywhere. This entry links to the standalone page on Vercel; the other version is on a Claude artifact page. There's only one move, and all the tension is in waiting for the pumpkin to give.
Who it's for: anyone after two minutes of stress relief or a small Halloween kick, and readers curious how two AI models handle the same idea.
Before you start: open it in a browser. No install, sign-in or payment. On a computer, click or press Space to add a band, and drag to turn the pumpkin. The page also gives a touch instruction (tap the pumpkin to add pressure), but we haven't tried it on a phone. There are Knock (shortcut K), Reset and Sound off buttons too, and the page doesn't say what Knock does. It describes itself as an offline, single-file piece. The interface is in English. The page shows no author credit, doesn't mention AI, and gives no reuse license or age rating. The Claude version lives on the author's artifact page and stops working if the author deletes it.
Based on the game page and the author's posts on X. Not tested by AI Inspiration World.
