What it is

Tanker Defense is a naval defense shooter that @bleyldev made for Vibe Jam 2026. The author's pitch: defend your oil tanker from pirates with guns and grenade launchers while steering your ship to safety. The home screen opens straight onto the ship, showing time, score, pirates sunk, an escort-on-station alert, incoming missile distance, an MK47 grenade launcher and your speed. You have to handle the steering and the shooting at once. The jam rules require at least 90% of the code to be written by AI; the jam page doesn't list which AI tools were used.

Who it's for: players who like naval combat and defense shooters.

Before you start: under Vibe Jam's rules it's free to play in the browser with no sign-up. The game lives on an auto-generated Netlify address. It's a gunfight game with missiles and ships being sunk; we haven't checked how intense it gets. The pages are in English, and they don't say whether it works on phones. No age rating is given.
