Starfall

What it is

Starfall is a space combat game that @kashprime made for Vibe Jam 2026; the home screen calls it Starfall Melee, with the tagline "two ships, one screen, no escape." On the jam page the author says two spaceships fight it out to the death, as an homage to the Melee mode of the classic Star Control 2. You start by picking a ship, and Player 2 is controlled by the AI by default; each ship has its own crew count, battery and weapons, such as Ion Bolts. The jam rules require at least 90% of the code to be written by AI; the jam page doesn't list which AI tools were used.

Who it's for: longtime Star Control fans, and friends who want to battle on one computer.

Before you start: under Vibe Jam's rules it's free to play in the browser with no sign-up. The pages are in English, and they don't say whether it works on phones. It's an independent game with no connection to the Star Control rights holders. No age rating is given.
