What it is

Rooklite is a pixel-art chess dungeon game by itch.io user EliasGuyd. Your character moves the way chess pieces do as you push through a dungeon and fight. There is a free browser demo and a separate desktop version. It supports keyboard and mouse, gamepad and touch, and the author lists 11 languages, Chinese among them. In the itch.io AI disclosure the author marks "AI Assisted / Code" and doesn't name a model. What sets it apart is that chess movement rules drive a dungeon adventure, so every step has to be thought through.
