What it is
Rogue Memory is a browser dungeon game by itch.io user quantumcodemonk. It opens by telling you that you are GHOST.EXE and you've been deleted, on purpose, by a directive called the Architect. All that's left is a fragment, working its way down through your own corrupted memory. On each layer you find the key fragment, unlock the exit, and descend. The AI game catalog GamesByAI notes that fights are turn-based, with a choice each turn to attack, scan, or retreat, and that enemies and traps drain your integrity, which works as your health. The game page also points out that you don't need to fight everything. The author says the whole game was made with Claude AI and doesn't name a version. The endings are its most distinctive part: there are three, depending on how many memory fragments you recover before you escape, and some fragments reveal backstory.
Who it's for: Players who like turn-based dungeons and piecing a story together as they go.
Before you start: It runs in the browser, and you move with WASD or the arrow keys. In the 1.3 update the author says mobile playability was improved; we haven't tried it on a phone. The game page is in English, and we haven't checked the in-game language. The page lists it as free; check the game page for current terms. A jam version is also available to download, which we haven't downloaded. The game logs each run's score and cause of death, and the page doesn't say whether these are uploaded. No license is given.
