What it is
Retail Mage is a job-sim party game from Jam & Tea Studios, released on Steam in November 2024. You have just been hired as customer service at MageMart, a magical furniture store, and have to handle strange customers during the last 30 minutes before closing while chasing five-star reviews. You can interact with any item in the store in any way you like. Say what you want out loud with voice-to-text, or choose from dialogue options generated on the spot. You can also cause chaos on purpose and collect bad reviews instead. Up to four players can play together online. The store page says the game uses generative AI at run time to understand what players say and do, and that no AI generation was used for the art assets or for the customers' motivations, personalities and quests.
Who it's for: players who like silly co-op games with friends and enjoy improvising.
