What it is
Plush Lobster is a browser physics toy by X user Vib3Coded, starring a plush lobster. Pick Hand, Finger or Comb to touch it, poke it or comb its fuzz, switch between red, blue and gold, adjust the stuffing, fuzz and wire, then make it walk, snip, flip its tail or wave. You can also slow it down, show the mesh or reset. The author gave the same brief to two models: the ChatGPT-6 Astra version lives on vercel.app and is this entry's main link, and the Claude Opus 5.5 version is a public Claude Artifact (claude.ai/artifact/DAtixcg94Y7XTxDSETBFtR). Both share the same core controls with different fur techniques, and we list them on equal terms. What sets it apart is that you can open both side by side and compare how two models handled the same piece.
Who it's for: Anyone who likes fiddling with small toys, or who wants to compare work by different AI models.
Before you start: Both versions run in the browser with no sign-in and no charge shown on the page. The interface is in English. Both need a browser with WebGPU; the Astra version says it falls back to a still image without it. The animation never stops, which puts some load on your graphics card. The on-screen readings are illustrative, not real physical measurements. The author said the Opus version cost USD 13.4 and the Astra version USD 23.51 in model fees; these are build costs, not prices. The Astra version has a button to download a single HTML file, which we haven't tried. Neither version lists a licence. The Opus version runs on Claude's platform, which receives ordinary visit data.
