What it is
Off the Line is a browser game by Techartist. You play Rivet Ranger, a 1957 tin wind-up robot trying to escape a modern factory. Along the way you dodge conveyor belts, stamping presses and magnet cranes, and collect keys that restore your wind-up life, plus blueprints. Controls are on the keyboard: WASD or the arrow keys to move, Space to jump, hold Space to charge a double jump, and Esc to pause. The creator says on X that the game was built with Opus 5.5.
Who it's for: Players who like retro robot designs and want a quick platformer in the browser.
Before you start: Free to play in a desktop browser with no sign-in. Only keyboard controls are described; phone and touch play aren't mentioned. The interface is in English, and other languages aren't listed. The page doesn't say whether there are paid levels, an age rating, or whether scores are recorded online. The page shows © 2026 Techartist and doesn't state an open-source license.
