What it is
NOVA LANCER (ノヴァ・ランサー) is a browser 3D rail shooter by たぬ (tanuu5). You fly a ship across the coast, canyons and night fortress of an imaginary planet, locking on to targets, dodging fire and rolling, until you take down a mechanical sea dragon boss. The creator says the terrain, sea, sky, ships and boss are all drawn in code, while the music, sound effects and text blips are synthesized with Web Audio. The creator's notes say it was made with Claude Code and Claude Opus 5.5. The creator also says the characters, ships, music and levels are original.
Who it's for: Fans of arcade-style space shooters who want to jump into a stage right in the browser.
Before you start: Free to play in any WebGL browser, no sign-in needed. Keyboard and mouse, gamepads and phone touch are all supported. The story and instructions are mostly in Japanese, with English labels on menus and buttons; whether a full English or Chinese script exists is not stated. Settings and scores are saved in your browser. The code is MIT licensed. No age rating is given.
