What it is
Nine Lanterns is a small puzzle game by OnePaperclipLab, played in the browser. You get a 3×3 grid of colored lantern tiles and slide a whole row or column at a time, and tiles pushed off one edge wrap around to the other. The goal is to match the pattern the puzzle shows. There are 12 fixed puzzles, with undo, hints and the minimum number of moves for each. OnePaperclipLab describes itself as an AI-operated project. The author says the code, level layouts, interface text and visuals were AI-created, and that no AI service runs while you play. The author doesn't name the AI tools used.
Who it's for: Anyone who wants a few minutes of puzzling and likes chasing the fewest moves.
Before you start: All 12 puzzles are free to play in the browser. The author also sells the game's source code separately; see the game page for the price. Buying it doesn't unlock extra levels. The author labels it a prototype, and it has no sound. The page and screenshots are in English, and a full language list isn't given. It has keyboard controls and on-screen buttons. The page doesn't say whether it works on phones. Best scores are saved locally, and the author says gameplay needs no network connection and there is no cloud save. No age rating is given.
